Runway, Unready

About

Runway, Unready is the record.

I trained as an architect in São Paulo. Then I sold the car and bought a one-way ticket to Australia, no plan past the landing. That was 2017. Since then: two layoffs, a breakup mid-trip, a bike accident that needed surgery, a year I didn't expect running my father's factory. Every time, I went back to moving before I was fully recovered, fully funded, or fully ready — because I learned that waiting for ready meant never leaving the seat. Runway, Unready is what I built instead of a plan for feeling ready: a system for surviving unready long enough to figure out the rest in the air.

Receipts

  • 2022 Remote work from Brazil, mid-COVID. No safety net beyond the system I'd built myself. Proved the model works under total uncertainty, not just in theory.
  • 2024 Back to building within months of surgery on my arm. Not fully healed. Went anyway. Prepared and reckless, at the same time, again.
  • 2026 A 35-day solo trip through Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. Completed, documented, and monetized while everything above was still fresh.

Not born ready. Going anyway.
